Nora Finds kick starts the season with feminine florals and dusty pink tones.
We asked Nora to pick a piece from our summer collection to style and review. Here she reveals what she chose and why this dress is perfect for all seasons.
“I have got the perfect dress for you. This lovely Tilly Dress is a new piece [this season] and perfectly combines vintage romance with modern practicality. This dress has got it all – machine washable, knee length, casual enough for work but dressy enough for a date night.”
“The price tag is £75 which I think it super reasonable for a dress that you can dress up and down and wear all year long! The viscose rayon ensures beautiful fit, and I had gone with my usual size UK 6 and found that I didn’t need to wear a cincher as it moulds beautifully. The vintage inspiration is strong in this dress - I’ve seen a lot of shirtdresses around but this particular dress comes at a vintage length (below the knee for my 5′5″ frame), with ¾ sleeves, and a skinny collar.”
“Shirtdresses were very popular in the 50 and 60s with more women going into workforces and wanting practical but fashionable styles, and I think this one indeed ticks all the boxes. Also I love the fact that the tiny buttons go all the way to the bottom instead of stopping halfway through. I found that I kept going back to Emily and Fin dresses because they’re just so easy to wear - I can machine wash them, they’re cute, they’re comfortable, and all their prints are so adorable!”
“Another great thing about this dress is the fact that it will go well from summer to winter. I see myself having a picnic in this dress wearing a wide brimmed hat and drinking Pimms under the sun.”
