Nora from blog Nora Finds kicks Autumn off in style with her Darcy Culottes. Vibrant and carefree, they're a well-loved staple in our transitional wardrobes, so it's no wonder Nora made them her first pick this season!
"Sometimes as a vintage girl I feel like I have to choose a decade and stick with it. Well, no one says I have to, but often that is the case with us vintage lovers. However, I have recently realised that it is impossible for me to pick a decade. I want to wear all the pretty clothes and be inspired by all the fashionable people out there. It really is hard to limit myself to just the 50s or the 40s, and this time I dipped my toes into 70s styling but somehow using pieces from different eras. I’m not trying to justify myself - I want these bloody culottes and I just want to wear them and be comfortable. And hey I think I look bloody good in them!"
"Emily and Fin is one of my favourite local brand and you know I own many pieces from them. The latest addition is this pair of culottes - so vibrant and comfortable and so perfectly 1970s-inspired. It reminds me of why I love the decade - I started wearing vintage by wearing 1980s and 1970s pieces but slowly gotten into the earlier decades. While I don’t have many later pieces in my wardrobe, I know I shouldn’t restrict myself when I find pieces I love. I can’t limit myself to circle skirts and petticoats, or A-line skirts and 1940s suits - I just want to wear all the things!!"
"The Darcy Blue culottes aren’t very me but also very me at the same time. I like colourful and comfortable pieces, especially ones that make me look tall! They’re perfect with boots but I look forward to wearing them with pointed toe flats or heels - they will look so very chic together and rather sexy with some ankles showing."
